Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy
While traditional psychedelics are not physically addictive, some people do have “bad,” or challenging experiences with them. This can feel confusing, disorienting, or scary. Therefore, it’s best to take them with a trained guide, who can potentially help steer the session in beneficial ways, and to follow up with a psychedelic trained therapist who can help you make sense of your experience and how to apply it for mental and emotional benefit. Dr. Harvey has extensive training in psychedelic assisted psychotherapy through a year long immersive certification program operated by Integrative Psychiatry Institute. While she cannot condone illegal behavior, she understands the rising popularity of psychedelic work for personal growth and healing. If you have participated in use of psychedelics therapeutically or plan to participate in use of therapeutic psychedelics, please contact Dr. Harvey to assist you with phases of Preparation and Integration. Additionally, if you have had a difficult psychedelic experience, supported or unsupported, Dr. Harvey will provide a safe, open-minded, and knowledgeable environment for exploration and integration of your unique journey experience.
