Dr. Rebecca Harvey
I believe life is about growth, and that we are always moving toward health and healing. Acceptance of life’s struggles is not always easy. But finding a way to evolve ourselves is the key to a peaceful and content existence.
The very conflicts, that often seem insurmountable, offer an opportunity to create secure, joy-filled relationships with ourselves and with those we choose to engage in relationship.
As we gain insight and new tools to approach life’s frustrations, we create lasting results and restore our faith.
My therapeutic specialty is providing psychotherapy for adults and couples aimed at optimizing your quality of life through awareness of the mind-body connection.
In a supportive and pleasant atmosphere, I will help you attain the personal growth you’re striving for, based on your personally determined goals.
I will help you understand your personal neurobiology so you can heal your past wounds and rewire your brain and nervous system for more effective, healthy responses to the events in your everyday life.
For shorter-term, situation specific clients, we will work to increase your focus, examine your options, and decrease personal obstacles.
For long-term clients desiring a deeper level of therapy, we will work together to explore how your past experiences affect your current behavior. I will help you examine your thoughts and feelings as we explore strategies for optimizing your life experience.

My psychology experience thus far has placed me in a variety of settings, ranging from private practice and community mental health, to hospitals and prisons. Having worked with a very diverse population of clients, I offer a non-judgmental and welcoming therapy style that puts people at ease.
My background in mind-body work began in 2000, at the National Holistic Institute in California, where I trained as a certified massage therapist. With a passion for health and fitness, I have taught various formats of group fitness and yoga, while simultaneously pursuing my own passion for maintaining a balance of proper nutrition and physical fitness.
In August of 2013, I completed the 200 hour yoga teacher training at Dallas Yoga Center, deepening my knowledge of mind-body connection. Since that time, I have offered group meditation training, including educating individuals in understanding the chakras as they relate to physical and psychological development. More recently, in 2021, to enhance my energetic mind-body awareness, I certified as a Reiki level two practitioner.
I am licensed in clinical psychology in the state of Texas. In 2011, I moved my private practice from Newport Beach, California to Dallas, Texas.
